Zimbabwe – Ex-Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has declared that he has no desire to return to his presidency position following his ouster last year November even though it is reported that Mugabe has labelled his dismissal from his presidency as a disgrace that has befallen Zimbabwe. Robert Mugabe said there is need to undo such actions of disgrace as Zimbabwe does not deserve such disgrace.

According to News24, Robert Mugabe is said to have told the reporters that Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa betrayed the whole nation as his presidency was illegal and unconstitutional. Robert Mugabe’s argument was that people must be chosen in government in a proper way and if they need help he is willing to assist in the process through an invite. The media briefing was held at Robert Mugabe’s mansion, and it was organized by the National Patriotic Front (NPF) party after he has been quiet from public speaking after a shock military takeover ended his 37-years of reign. Robert Mugabe was forced to quit the political scene he had dominated since independence from Britain in 1980 when the military stepped in and Zanu-PF lawmakers launched impeachment proceedings against their once beloved leader.

Zimbabwe is going to hold its national elections in August 2018 and current President Mnangagwa vowed that the country will hold fair elections to ensure Zimbabwe “engages the world as a qualified democratic state,” according to a state-owned Herald newspaper.
