United States – The White House is planning to release a contentious memo on Friday depicting how the FBI and Justice Department investigated alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The document put together by the Republicans, asserts that the FBI and Justice Department abused power.
The FBI voiced serious worries about the memo going public, but after a national security review, Trump’s government has given the approval with some parts redacted. The FBI raised concerns about the level of accuracy of a secret Congressional memo written by top Republicans and members of the White House intelligence committee.
The Republicans and the White House suggested that the FBI and Department of Justice abused their power for political purposes in the 2016 presidential election. The White House intends to release this classified documentary to depict its allegations of anti-Trump bias.
Democrats, on another note, argue that it is all part of a wider effort by the Republicans and the White House to dent the Mueller investigation by repeatedly raising questions about its fairness.
