On the 9th of May, ousted president Mugabe was summoned to appear before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines to give his side of the story or evidence on the claims that while he was in power Zimbabwe lost up to $15 billion worth of earnings for the diamond revenue in 2016.
However, on the 9th Mugabe was nowhere to be seen as he did not attend the hearing. Mugabe has now been summoned to appear on May 28.
