Samuel Writers, Inc. seeks and spots Swazi writers in all novella genres through its Swazi Best Novella Awards. This competition is open to both new and seasoned authors. Enter our Swazi Best Novella Awards competition for your chance to win and have your work be seen by editors and agents! Almost 10 winners will be chosen. The top winning entries of this writing contest will also be on display in the Swazi Best Novella Awards Collection.

Prizes

One Grand Prize winner will receive:

  • E5000 in cash
  • An interview with the author by Samuel Writers, Inc.
  • One on one attention from four editors or agents
  • A one year link to your blog on our website

The First place winner in each category will receive E2500 in cash

The Second place winner in each category will receive E1000 cash

The Third place winner in each category will receive E500 in cash

The Fourth place winner in each category will receive E250 in cash

The Fifth place winner in each category will receive E100 in cash

The Sixth through Tenth place winners in each category will receive $75 in cash

All top winners will also receive:

  • A one year link to their blog from our website (if you have one)
  • The Grand Prize winning piece and the 1st place winning piece in each category will be published in the Best Swazi Novella Awards Collection.
  • All other top winners will have their names listed in Samuel Writers magazine, on www.samuelwriters.com and in the Best Swazi Novella Awards Collection.

All Honorable Mentions receive:

How to Enter

  • All entries must be submitted online.
  • Your entry must be original, in English, unpublished and unproduced, not accepted by any other publisher or producer at the time of submission. Any piece posted online, anywhere other than a personal blog, is considered published.
  • Since contact/category information is collected via: the online entry form; online entrants do not need to include this information on the file being uploaded. If you already have it appearing on the first page (Title page) – it is permissible to leave it, just not necessary.
  • As judging is blind, do not include your name, address, phone number, email address or other identifying information in the upper left-hand corner of every page.
  • BE SURE OF YOUR WORD COUNT! Entries below the word will be disqualified. Type the exact word count (counting every single word, except the title) at the top of the manuscript.
