Beyoncé is Officially a Billionaire
Beyoncé becomes the first Black artist to reach billionaire status with her music being the main contributor, especially her Cowboy Carter album playing vital role in reaching this achievement.
"What’s better than one billionaire…two,” Jay Z raps to his hit single ‘Family Issues’ as his wife, the one and only Beyoncé, joins him in the list of musicians with a billionaire status. Others on that list are none other than Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen.
A great factor that played a hand in the number one global pop star reaching that achievement was her recent country album, Cowboy Carter, which grossed over $400 million. She became the first artist to have two tours, the other being the iconic Renaissance Tour, to gross over that amount.
The Renaissance Era was a summer to be remembered. With over 56 shows and over 900 outfits, Beyoncé showed what she is that girl. From Kansas City to Paris and even Houston, she delivered perfectly curated performances that kept the audience entertained, full of energy and wanting for more. Fans praised her as an artist that sets the bar high when it comes to both performance and music. This is greatly true as her albums range from pop, afrobeat, R’n’B, Hip Hop and country.
Speaking of country, 2025 has been a winning year for her. After releasing Cowboy Carter, she won three Grammy awards for her first-ever Album of the Year, for Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance, "II Most Wanted" with Miley Cyrus. She also had a record-breaking night, becoming the first Black woman to win Album of the Year in decades and cementing her status as the most awarded artist in Grammy history.
Her haircare brand, Cécred, won several beauty industry awards, notably the Brand of the Year at the Beauty Inc. Awards. It also won Prestige Brand of the Year and One of the Most Powerful Beauty Brands of 2025, named by Women’s Wear Daily (WWD).
And finally, her whiskey line, SirDavis, which she launched in 2024 have also contributed in Beyoncé reaching billionaire status.
Her work ethic is one of Beyoncé’s great factors as seen from her early days in the famous girl group Destiny’s child. She was always invested in the creation process of her music and would spend time in the studio and writing lyrics and experimenting with new sounds. Destiny’s Child gained the status of the best-selling girl groups of all time, with sales accumulating over 60 million records.
It’s no wonder, then, that Cowboy Carter became another historical moment for her, as the tour became the highest-grossing country tour of all time. According to Forbes, the Cowboy Carter Tour grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales, per Pollstar, and another $50 million in merchandise sold at the shows.
And because Parkwood, Beyoncé’s own record company, produced it all, she was able to secure higher profit margins. "Combining what she made touring with earnings from her music catalog and sponsorship deals this year, Forbes estimates she brought in $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third-highest paid musician in the world."
She has definitely earned her billionaire status. And now, with her most anticipated album, ACT III, one can wonder what achievements it will bring.
