BTS Confirms Historic March 2026 Comeback

The wait is over for the BTS ARMY. After nearly four years, the seven members of the record-breaking K-pop group BTS have confirmed their official reunion and will release new music on March 20, 2026.

The news was delivered intimately through handwritten letters to select fan club members, with the simple, powerful date "2026.3.20" signaling the end of their extended hiatus. The group's last full-group release was the 2022 anthology album Proof.

"This is the year that we will all be together with you!!" wrote J-Hope, capturing the collective excitement. Leader RM expressed that he had been "waiting for this moment more desperately than anyone," while Jin noted, "I can finally greet you as part of a team again."

The reunion marks the conclusion of a carefully planned chapter where all members fulfilled South Korea's mandatory military service. The group tiered their enlistments, allowing time for successful solo careers. Rapper Suga, who served as a social service agent due to a prior injury, was the last member to be discharged in June 2025, paving the way for the group's full assembly.

Their management company, BigHit Music, confirmed the "March 20th comeback" on social media platform X. The group had previously teased a 2026 world tour and new album last summer, stating they would begin work in July 2025.

For the global fanbase, the announcement ends a period of anticipation that began when the group first announced their hiatus to focus on individual activities and service. The upcoming album promises to be a landmark event in pop culture, celebrating the return of one of the world's most influential musical acts.
