Manchester City did not just lose in Norway, they were torn apart. Pep Guardiola’s side arrived as favourites and left humiliated after a ruthless 3-1 defeat to Bodo/Glimt in freezing conditions. This was not bad luck, it was poor mentality and fragile football. City looked soft, slow, and unprepared for a team that wanted it more.

Bodo/Glimt played with hunger and belief. Kasper Hogh punished City twice early, while Jens Petter Hauge finished the job after the break. Even when Rayan Cherki pulled one back, City never looked in control. Rodri’s red card summed up the chaos and lack of discipline. Guardiola later suggested injuries and missing leaders had weakened the team, while admitting the situation has been turning against them since the new year.

Paris Saint-Germain also failed to convince. The holders collapsed late against Sporting Lisbon, losing after allowing Luis Suarez to dominate the second half. PSG briefly thought they had survived when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia equalised, but poor defending returned. This team still looks unbalanced and unreliable under pressure.

While giants struggled, Arsenal stood tall. Gabriel Jesus delivered with two simple finishes in Italy, securing a top-eight place with confidence. From an opinion point of view, Arsenal now look mature, calm, and ruthless. Jesus later reflected that playing and scoring in Italy was an emotional dream shaped by his childhood watching football.

Real Madrid also sent a warning. Kylian Mbappe punished his former club, while Vinicius Junior answered critics with quality. Arsenal remain perfect, City are shaken, and PSG are exposed. In Europe, reputation means nothing without fight.
