ICC Launches Cheapest Ever T20 World Cup Tickets for 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially started selling tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, setting some of the lowest prices ever seen for a major global cricket event. Sales open at 18h45 IST, with entry tickets starting at only ₹100 in India and LKR1000 in Sri Lanka. The ICC says this pricing is meant to make the tournament more accessible for every type of fan.

The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March. Matches will be played across eight venues, with over 2 million tickets available in Phase I. The tournament will begin in Colombo with Pakistan facing the Netherlands, followed by West Indies taking on Bangladesh in Kolkata, and later India meeting the USA in Mumbai.

The ICC explained that reducing ticket prices removes one of the biggest barriers for fans who want to experience the World Cup inside the stadium. ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said the organisation wants this tournament to be the most accessible and global ICC event ever held. He noted that the aim is for fans of all backgrounds and financial levels to feel welcome, and for stadiums to be full of excitement.

Gupta also said the 2026 tournament featuring 20 teams and 55 matches will be the most ambitious T20 World Cup so far, promising strong competition and an improved fan experience.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia said the low ticket prices will boost interest even more, and added that India is focused on offering world-class match-day facilities. Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva said Sri Lanka is proud to co-host and encouraged fans to secure tickets early.

The tournament promises packed stadiums, high energy and a month of top-level cricket.
