Career history

According to Wikipedia, Bravo made his name as a forward with Chivas de Guadalajara, where he became the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer. He debuted in Mexico’s top division in 2001 and over his career played for clubs such as Deportivo La Coruña (Spain), Sporting Kansas City (USA) and others in Mexico. On the international stage, he represented the Mexico national football team, including appearances at the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Arrest and allegations

Bravo was detained in the municipality of Zapopan (Jalisco) during an operation carried out by local authorities. The Jalisco prosecutor’s office alleges that he repeatedly abused a teenage girl over several months, and that there may have been similar incidents in the past. Following his arrest, a judge ordered that Bravo remain in pre-trial detention, with the case formally proceeding against him.

Currently, the legal process is ongoing: no final judgment has been made and Bravo retains the presumption of innocence under the law. If convicted, he could face significant prison time given the severity of the charges under Jalisco law, reports CNN.

This development shocked many in the Mexican football community, as Bravo was once widely celebrated for his achievements on the pitch. The allegations mark a dramatic turn in the former athlete’s personal and public life.
