Solanis Boss Faces Serious Criminal Charges, Granted Minimal Bail

In a major legal development that has rocked the local business, Celucolo Manchester Nxumalo has been formally charged with a string of serious criminal offenses. The charges, which include kidnapping, extortion, and assault, stem from the executive's alleged involvement in a violent incident connected to a contentious financial dispute.

He appeared at the Mbabane Magistrates Court on Wednesday and has since been granted E3,000 bail. Nxumalo was accused of kidnapping a 42-year-old dentist at the beginning of the year together a few other culprits in Mnyamatsini. They forcefully took the victim to Ludzeludze and assaulted him. The location was about 40 km away and the victim was coerced into transferring an amount of E15,000 via eWallet.

The police then put a Wanted Criminal Poster of Nxumalo who later on handed himself over to the police.

His release on such a tiny bail amount, considering the seriousness of the charges, has raised concern among members of the public, who believe the court has been too lenient.

Solanis, known for its live musical concerts, amazing food and exciting vibe, now faces a profound reputation crisis. Locals are questioning Nxumalo’s motives  in this case and whether he runs other kinds of businesses on the side that involve such violent alterations. Could this violent act be a norm? Are customers safe in the Solanis premises or events that may be produced by the company?

Nxumalo or his establishment has not issued any statements pertaining the matter.
