The daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones was found dead at a luxury San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day, marking a tragic start to 2026 for the Hollywood family. Victoria Jones, 34, was discovered unresponsive in the early hours of January 1.

According to reports, a guest on the 14th floor of the famed Fairmont San Francisco found Victoria Jones and initially believed she was intoxicated and passed out. The guest alerted hotel staff, who immediately began CPR and called for emergency services. Paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department arrived at the scene at approximately 2:52 a.m. but declared her dead.

San Francisco police officers arrived about 20 minutes later in response to the medical emergency. Law enforcement sources indicate there were no immediate signs of foul play at the scene, nor any drug paraphernalia found. The San Francisco Medical Examiner's office will determine the official cause of death as the investigation remains ongoing. The police have not yet revealed whether Victoria was at the hotel as a registered guest or how she ended up on the 14th floor right before her death.

Victoria Jones was the second child of Tommy Lee Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. Just like her father, she had pursued acting for a short while and appeared alongside him in movies such as “Men in Black II” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.”

While she did not continue to pursue an acting career, she had been a presence with her father at red-carpet events in recent years. Public records indicate she had faced legal challenges, with at least three arrests in the past year. One of those charges was of drug possession, which Victoria pleaded not guilty to.

The family has not yet made a public statement. The sudden loss has drawn attention to the private life of the veteran actor, known for his roles in "The Fugitive," for which he won an Academy Award, "No Country for Old Men," and "Lincoln."
