Violent Winds Topple Crane in Australia’s Central West
A powerful storm with winds exceeding 100km/h has brought down a construction crane in Dubbo, New South Wales, as extreme weather conditions continue to batter parts of Australia.
A construction crane was blown off a building rooftop in Dubbo, in New South Wales, after strong winds swept through the region on Friday evening, raising fresh concerns over the impact of severe weather in the area.
According to 9News, wind gusts reaching up to 115km/h struck the town, causing the crane to collapse onto the street below. Dramatic footage captured the moment the structure gave way under the force of the storm.

The incident occurred on Church Street in Dubbo, where emergency services responded promptly to secure the area and assess potential risks to nearby buildings and the public.
The wild weather system has affected a wider stretch of the central west, with reports of a developing dust storm in Cobar, further highlighting the severity of the conditions.
